SPECIAL CHRISTMAS ISSUE
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of Akulab

INTRODUCTION

Dear reader,
welcome to the 2004 Special Christmas Issue of the Journal of the Acoustical Society of Akulab.

This issue is dedicated to Akulab's special 'excellence' session that concentrates on training for the upcoming CoE Idols private performance for the CoE judges in early May. As you can see from the figures is this issue, training seems to have been going splendidly and the boys are in excellent condition already. See the bio section and the specialty section to browse figures by the author or the specialty.

In addition, the Akulab once again breaks new ground with the Aku Lab Chain Song, a sure hit for years to come. And speaking of hits, we'll also revisit the nAku-kalenteri 2005, the Akulab's previous trendy hit. On more serious note, latest medical research is presented on Tranze Acusticum, a serious illness often observed in researchers on acoustics.

However, some tension was in the air as can be seen from the figures below. Maybe it had something to with the last year's top scandal: some embarrassing figures that never were meant for publication were somehow leaked to the media causing a major outrage among the acoustical society! We can only hope that it won't cost us in the upcoming CoE Idols competition. But then again, as the philosophers have said: 'Any publicity is good publicity, but bad publicity is best publicity!''

As we can see, Lea is the only one displaying the proper attitude towards the lab paparazzi...
